The Door County Home Builders will award two scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each.  These scholarships will be given to qualified graduating seniors who are residents of Door County, have a 2.5 grade point average or above and are furthering their education in a field of the building industry.

 

This scholarship has been opened up to individuals that would like to further their education in the field because of job displacement or due to a career change.

 

The applicant must apply in writing for the scholarship by submitting the following information:

• Anticipated course of study
• College or Technical School student will attend
• Essay on "Why I am interested in the building industry"
• Submit transcripts of grades along with the application
• Social Security Number
• Community Involvement 

The Scholarship will be paid directly to the university or technical school which the student will be attending.  The scholarship will be paid at the beginning of the second semester.  The scholarship amount is specifically for tuition and books.

 

Application must be received by April 2, 2006.
