 What is the Door County Development Council?

The Door County Development Council (DCDC) is an affiliate of the Door County Home Builders Association (DCHBA) that advocates for reasonable and responsible development in Door County. DCDC members want to ensure that reasonable economic development continues in harmony with Door County's natural assets while also nurturing a strong and viable economy for the Peninsula today and beyond.

 Members advocate for reasonable regulations that protect the environment and allow quality development and construction at the same time.  The protection of private property and property rights is important to DCDC members and all Door County residents. And for more than 25 years, the construction industry has been one of the main employers in Door County. It is important that it be kept strong and vibrant.  

 How to join

Help keep the construction industry on a healthy track by joining the Door County Development Council (DCDC). "The Door County Development Council complements the Door County Home Builders Association with additional benefits for builders and related companies in the home industry. A. J. Deuchert Construction is a member of the Door County Development Council and appreciates staying in touch with local issues affecting home building," said Adam Deuchert, 2010 president of DCHBA, member of DCDC and owner of A.J. Deuchert Construction. 

 DCDC members obtain benefits that help them grow and enhance business. For example, only DCDC members receive the "The Developer/Builder Buzz," a monthly e-newsletter covering local issues affecting building and development, Home Builders Association news and tips on construction, development and more. 

 DCDC membership fees are just $100 a year for most organizations.
